Partnerships
Southern Music Culture considers collaborations that fit its subject and give readers a clear reason to engage. Proposals can be sent through the Contact page; include the intended audience, format and proposed placement.
Possible collaborations
We consider clearly scoped collaborations such as a commissioned educational feature, a reader-facing listening resource, or a relevant event or collection listing. Each proposal is assessed for subject fit, clarity and usefulness. We do not promise coverage or endorsement in return for a partnership.
Partner placements
Relevant partner placements may appear in designated site areas, including a collection of partner links. Each placement is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. Partner text should describe the offering plainly and must not imply that Southern Music Culture has tested, endorsed or verified it.
Editorial separation
Commercial partners do not choose editorial conclusions or receive guaranteed favourable treatment. We may decline proposals that do not fit the publication, obscure their commercial purpose or make claims that cannot be presented responsibly. Any agreed collaboration should have its format and labelling settled before publication.
A song makes more sense in context
We connect what you hear to how a piece is shaped, played and shared. The aim is not to flatten different traditions into one Southern sound.
